We are pleased to announce the appointment of Gijsbert Wierink as VP Materials. Gijsbert will develop novali’s supply chain for battery materials engaging with key stakeholders and partners and realising battery recycling capacity for internal and external material flows.
Gijsbert has 15 years international experience in materials and metals processing, minerals processing, and business and innovation management. He worked in product development and innovation functions across Europe.
These experiences covered processing of ores and metals through pyrometallurgical, hydrometallurgical, and metal forming routes. Gijsbert also has experience in the development and processing of advanced glass technology, functional coatings, and photovoltaic materials. His experience in building and restructuring organisations in the metals and materials industry will further help in building the novali materials supply chain. Gijsbert obtained BSc in Resource Engineering, MSc and PhD degrees in Materials Sciences and Engineering, and an Executive MBA.
